Nightlyfe

Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 3, 2026 · Nightlyfe is pre-launch; this policy will be finalized with counsel before public release.

Nightlyfe ("we," "us," "our") operates a nightlife discovery and skip-the-line app for people 21 and older in Philadelphia. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. By using Nightlyfe you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information we collect

2. Session recordings & analytics

We use PostHog, a product analytics provider, to understand how the app and site are used and to fix problems faster. This includes event analytics (e.g., which pages or screens you visit, which buttons you tap) and, for a portion of sessions, a visual session replay that reconstructs your on-screen interactions. Text typed into input fields is masked by default in app session replays and is not recorded in readable form. Analytics and replay data is used only to improve Nightlyfe's product and reliability. It is not sold and is not used for third-party advertising.

3. How we use your information

4. How we share information

We share data only with service providers that help us run Nightlyfe under contract, currently Google Firebase (backend, authentication, database, hosting), Stripe (payment processing), and PostHog (product analytics and session replay), and these providers may only use your data to provide services to us. A partner venue receives only what's needed to validate a pass you present at the door, plus aggregated, de-identified crowd/vibe data about their own venue; venues do not receive your name, contact information, or precise location history. We may also disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Nightlyfe, our users, or the public, and information may transfer as part of a merger or acquisition, subject to this policy or a successor policy you're notified of. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own advertising purposes.

5. Your rights & choices

You can permanently delete your account and profile at any time from the app's Settings, or by emailing us. Some records (e.g., payment and pass history) may be retained as required for financial, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes even after deletion. You can revoke location permission at any time in your device Settings, though some features (nearby bars, check-in verification) will stop working without it. You can review and edit your profile in the app, or request a copy of your data by emailing us. We currently send only account- and service-related messages; you can opt out of optional notifications in Settings. If you are a California resident (or a resident of a state with a similar privacy law), you may have additional rights to know, delete, or correct your personal information and to opt out of certain sharing (we do not sell personal information as defined by these laws). Contact us to exercise these rights.

6. Data retention & security

We retain personal information only as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal or tax obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted network access to our database. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Age restriction

Nightlyfe is strictly for use by people 21 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 21. If we learn an account belongs to someone under 21, we will terminate it and delete associated data.

8. International users

Nightlyfe currently operates only in the United States (Philadelphia, PA). Your information is collected, stored, and processed in the United States.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Nightlyfe evolves. We'll post the new effective date above and, for material changes, provide notice in the app.

This is a good-faith starting policy for a pre-launch product, drafted without a licensed attorney. Have it reviewed by legal counsel and aligned with your final feature set, your jurisdiction, and App Store requirements before you rely on it or launch at scale.
